i have a 05 tundra 4.7L 2uz-fe, installed a unichip but i am not sure what map is the best. the instructions said useing advanced timing settings could cause lack of power. does anyone know are tundras cool to run with this change in timing.

hi, most tundra's have a issue with the advanced timing for mapB. if you can try a non ethanol gas for that map. you can 1st try 93 octane, if that doesn't work, i'm sure the pure gas with work. i have all custom maps. for my extreme timing maps, i need 93 octane, or even better the non ethanol. that gives me the best mpg, but even better the best time slips.
you will know once you flip the switch, if it like's it, by showing no codes.
unichip has custom codes for the 05 V8 tundra. they also have the u-connect which allows you to switch the switch on the fly & allows for more maps. plus it's a much nicer look.
