I am changing the valve cover gaskets on my 2003 tundra with the 4.7L v8. The cam plugs in the back are supposed to be removed and rtv'd back into place, correct? Mine were stuck in there and I couldn't pull them loose by hand. Do I have to remove them or should they be fine if they weren't leaking? Can I use a punch and jusy knock them out?

Also, the spark plug tube seals have to be removed by bending the tabs up and knocking them out right? Is there a trick to bending the tabs without screwing it up horribly?

And the rtv should be put on just the corners and the plugs? Or is there somewhere else?

Tha KS for the help!

Nevermind I figured it out. The plugs in the back can be pulled straight up and out with a pair of pliers. Then you just rtv em back into place! And the tube seals are pretty easy to change. I made a little write up on it here if anybody needs to know how.
