In the process of changing out camshaft seals......when valve covers were removed. it seems the left bank ( driver's side ) is much darker than the right bank. I am not burning oil. Runs fine. All plugs burning fine......Just the varnish head & valve cover are much darker on one side compared to the other.....

Any thoughts ?

This is why you have to change the oil on both sides of the engine!

Seriously though, it's because you have an open vent dumping into the intake pipe before the throttle plate on the passenger side, while you have a valved (PCV) vent dumping into the intake manifold after the throttle plate. All the nice varnish that would have stuck to your passenger side valve cover got the chance to stick to your throttle plate, intake runners, and intake valves instead - yay!
