Hello,

I changed my crankshaft position sensor like two weeks ago in my 2007 sr5 5.7 and I immediately noticed the voltage was lower than it should be. I hoped that after driving around for a bit it would re-learn and it seemed to but the other day I tried to start it up after sitting for a few days and it was completely dead. It jumped right up but now the voltage indicator was fluctuating quite a bit. I took it to Orielly's and they said the alternator regulator failed but everything else passed. I have it at the dealership right now and they said the alt passed and are struggling to figure out what it is (I did just go ahead and get a new battery). They are telling me it couldnt be the position sensor but thats right when the trouble started (it's oem). Could it be that sensor?
