I have a 2005 double cab with vsc/abs brake system with a failed master cylinder. To replace it will cost $2600 for just the parts. I have not found any help as to an alternative, so I’ve decided to try my own. I will be converting the system to a t100 brake bootser and master cylinder. Any help will be greatly appreciated. And I will be documenting this mod as I go...

What’s so different about the master cylinder? That’s insane cost wise. I know it uses brakes to help the stability control, but I always figured that would be a module or would be integrated into the ABS module.

If you’re gonna swap, would it not just be easier to swap parts with a tundra without VSC? They also made them without ABS. my 01 has ABS but no VSC.

The difference is that it does not use a vacuum booster. It’s electric. And there is two reasons for the t100. One, it’s is a better master cylinder and two, I have a t100 donor.

Well that’s a good thing to keep in mind. I didn’t know they were electric. I’ll be looking for another Tundra possibly a Sequoia within the year so that’s good to know. I wonder what kind of issues you’re gonna run into with the swap. Keep us all informed
