Greetings from Utah. Pick up my new overlander tonight. 2012 Sequoia SR5. 99k, 1 owner, fantastic condition.
Replacing my '08 T4R. (211K)
Will start a build thread after soaking up more info here. Looking forward to picking your brains.
Cheers!
Good evening,

New to the forum. I have a 2012 5.7L Sequoia SR5 4x4.
I've installed 20 XD's
2"Ready lift level kit in the front
2in spacers in the back
Bilstein's all around
all weather mats
Vinyl wrapped grills surround
tinted head and taillights
15% tint all around
Volant Intake.

My buddy is selling a TRD supercharger off of a 2010 tundra and would sell it for 1k to me with a couple of missing parts (pulley, missing 3 fuel injectors, and fuel pump) he has most other parts. I hope I can get it tuned and pass CA smog requirements. Would love to know if I should even entertain the thought her in CA and if my rig would need a new ECU if the dealer says the re-flash isn't available. I guess I have a lot of reading to do.

I also have a DVD player but it doesn't work, another thing i have to research. Hoping its not some dealer option that they can only unlock.

I thought I read somewhere with the bootleg toyotech software you can unlock some options like glass break alarm, disable driver seat belt warning, reprogram windows and locks to fob, Hoping this is the case, well see.

I'm not a new member here, had a 2011 Tundra but left for a few years when I had to move to a 1 ton diesel to pull a large trailer. Now I'm back with a 2019 Sequoia Limited. Looking forward to getting this one set up the way I want it.

Hello again, for the 3rd time!
I originally joined back when i bought a 2010 Silver SR5 Sequoia, but it turned out to have the infamous vvti spring issue. The dealer let me claim lemon law on it (big thanks to Lia toyota in wilbraham MA) with only 290 miles on it. In 2015 i got 2013 magnetic gray SR5 Sequoia with 22” TRD chrome wheels but my job changed and commute was horrid so i had to ditch it.
Yesterday i bought a 2017 black limited Sequoia with only 38k on the odometer!
great to be back!

Hi! I own a 2010 Sequoia SR5. It has been the best vehicle; until November 2020. We have spent $3000 or more (I stopped counting at this point) and months trying to figure it out. We are on mechanic #3. Also the local dealerships are a joke. Hence why I am here. If anybody can figure out why my Sequoia is stuck in limp mode after two bypass kits, 3 pumps and hoses, and numerous other parts and tests I am sure I can come up with some sort of prize.

Wow...sounds like a gremlin is in there for sure. So tell us which codes are currently getting stored. And why did you have to go through two bypass kits? Thinking one was bad & had it warrantied?

Post your question on this thread.

Hi all -

New member here with a new TRD Pro Sequoia. Very pumped about this truck it drives amazing, sounds great and eats gas prodigiously, but I also have an L322 Range Rover and GX460 as well as recently sold an FJ62 which all were gas hogs so nothing new to me.

I've been on Ih8mud for a while but the Sequoia forum is not very active so I'm seeing more engaging content here and wanted to register to be part of the community. Some pics below [traded in my VW Alltrack for the Sequoia due to a growing family and need for a proper 3 row]:

Hey everyone. Just picked up a 2010 Platinum yesterday. We're planning on doing some lightweight overlanding - which we will affectionately call "adventurelanding" in it. We'll do some light mods to that end as we move on, and this Sequoia will eventually end up towing a travel trailer as well - probably something around the R Pod size.

What's up everyone! I just joined today, primarily to hang out in the Sequoia threads. I don't own a Sequoia (or any other Toyota) at the moment but I'm planning to buy either a new '22 or a very late/low-mileage used Sequoia (like 2018 or newer, under 50k miles). We've got our 4th child on the way, the wife already has an Odyssey and I want a truck with SPACE. Hopefully I'll be an owner before Spring (or more likely Summer if I order a new one...I've been told to expect about 3-5 months to take delivery). See ya!
I am in the market for a Gen1 and want to say thanks to this community for the tons of info I am gleaming. We own a Gen1 Tundra already and this Sequoia specific information here is a tremendous help!

Once I complete my purchase I will check back and also update my profile with the actual unit we purchase.

The seller backed out of the Gen1 I was working on so I found another one and just got the deal done on a 2005 SR5, finish paperwork and take delivery tomorrow. Seems pretty loaded up for an SR5 which surprised me.

Thanks again for all the information and help this group has provided.

Hello, new to the forums and sequoia platform. I previously had a turbocharged 3rd gen 4runner and am looking to do some cool things with my sequoia. For not it's a 2010 SR5 that's stock as rock. First item to tackle is the tired rear lift gate struts, but I promise there's some good stuff in store for it.
