http://www.scangauge.com/support/pdfs/XGaugeCoding.pdf

yeah, i had one beer, but this looks like backwards, upside down greek to me. Is inputting data into a scangauge REALLY that complex? I'm considering buying one but if i have to do all that crap every time i tell it something, then forget it.

That's the xgauge feature for adding gauges or trips etc. The scangauge is
pretty much just plug it in and go. It will automatically read most gauges
for you vehicle without having to do anything aside of deciding which four
gauges you want displayed.

It's not that difficult. And if you screw up, you won't mess anything up. Just start over and try again. The XGauges are only useful for 3 or 4 things in our trucks anyhow.

check out the KIWI from PLX. http://www.plxkiwi.com/ Has a nicer looking interface and some models can sync with your iPhone wifi. The Scangauge doesn't even come close in that technology.

Wow that looks awesome! ever buy one or are you just recommending it?

edit:

just looked at a few websites with people rating it, and apparently it sucks haha.

some dude got two defective ones in a row and when he got one to work, it gave such scattered readings he couldn't do anything to improve his driving.

Anyone ever bought one of these?
