Very nice! I removed my back seat for a cross country camping trip last summer, way more storage. Wish I would have thought of your idea, looks really convenient.

I always thought it would be nice to fold the back seat down in an Access Cab.

In my old F-150 the seats disappeared and left a flat metal surface (the dog didn't like riding that way...kept sliding side to side around the corners), it was handy.

I wonder if you could make that kind of mod, tipping the seats forward?

There's a guy on another forum looking for a seat.

Are you interested in selling yours?

To remove the seat:
there are 2 or 3 bolts on the bottom, remove them and lift up.

There are 3/4 X 3/4 aluminum angle strips around the back piece.

Guys,

It really looks great -- reminds me of the way I changed (enlarged) the space in my dear, departed '85 Toyota crew cab:cry:. As I remember, it was the one thing I didn't like about that old horse. I lusted after the guys driving American truck lookalikes (wannabe trucks) who had real passenger seats.

All these thoughts came upon me after I asked my bride to come in and see what nice this forum guy had done to his Tundra. She just mussed my thinning hair and said something like, "and then where we would put the grandkids -- if they ever come east."

Ah, well. It does look pretty neat:).
