I currently have 33x12.50x18 toyo Mud Open Country tires on KMC XD Hoss wheels. I'm getting new 18x9 wheels & am unsure whether to go back to an AT tire vs the Mud. My only problem with the Mud is the hwy noise. I do a lot of traveling & assume by going with the A/T, I would cut the noise in 1/2. But the beefy looks is hard to pass on. Give me your opinion based on my usuage. And if you like the A/T, is there any difference between the BFG vs the NITTO's?

I've seen others use 295/70/18 but I will go wider if possible (have a 2" level fr kit).

You just have to ask yourself which is more important to you, looks or sound? Personally I think an AT tire looks better, not a fan of big beefy MT's, and is obviously quieter on the road. That's what I'd did. I have the Nittos and think they look great and are very quiet on the highway.

Id stick with an AT based on your usage.. Nittos are good, as are BFGs. Id also look at more aggressive ATs like Mickey Thompson Baja ATZs and Procomp Xtreme ATs.
