Traded in my 2012 Tundra Crewmax SR5 TRD-off road with 8,200 miles for a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD LWB. The best part was that I paid $33,400 for the Tundra one year ago and today, the Hyundai dealer gave me $33,000 for it. That is literally no depreciation in one year--fantastic. They did not up the price of the Santa Fe because we already had negotiated the price on the new vehicle before I mentioned the trade. The Santa Fe MSRP was $36,045 and they sold it to me for $33,410.

The MSRP on the Tundra was $41,081 and Toyota had a $3,000 rebate at the time. Then the dealer discounted the price another $4,681. One great deal on one great truck.

Do miss the Tundra but I did not need that much truck.

Re: How thinks they got the best deal on there Tundra?? Stop in.

I traded my 2007 CM SR5 with 134,000 miles on it for a 2014 CM Limited. I took my Truxedo tonneau off and TT prodigy brake controller as well. (at dealership) They gave me $13,000 for my 07. Sticker on 2014 was $48,000. It has Hard 3 piece tonneau, biege leather, high end entune w/navigation, power driver seat, heated front seats, BSM, Par assist, moon roof, 20" rims. Out the door for just under $33,500 (including TTT). I got the platnum Zero deductable warranty for 7 years and/or 125,000 miles at my credit union for additional $1250.00. By the way the dealer paid to have my TT brake removed and re-installed on new truck at RV shop across the street. I think I did good job, what do you think ?

I sold my 2006 2WD V6 REG CAB 4.0L 87,000 miles for $10,000 to a private party.

I was looking for a used 2014-16, low miles, 5.7L, with a center console in white. In my area, Orange County California, all that was available used was black and dark grey, silver is rare too. There were plenty of white ones with split bench seats here but I wanted bucket seats.

I found one on the internet in Phoenix. I called and confirmed it was the truck I wanted, a 2015 with 17,800 miles.

I took a red-eye greyhound to Phoenix from Anaheim, $36. The hour 40-minute layover in Los Angeles was interesting. I arrived at 6:30am. a friend picked me up and drove me to the dealer.

$28,600 before tax and I was driving home.
