It had more options that I wanted but it's OK. It ended up being almost the same price as the first dealer's DC price. It's the same color as my wife's Highlander so we'll get the "you drive matching cars, how cute" again. We used to have Civic Hatchbacks (different colors) except mine was an Si and hers was a base.

Yeah, looks like he got stuck with the same option I did. I think the rims look pretty good though.:tu:

Did you get stuck with the $69 ball mount too?

I'm not shure whose steps they are. I was never a fan because they ruin the lines. Now that I have them, I like'em. I like them more for their utility than their looks.

Good looking truck. Sounds like you got a good deal if it was the same price as a DC price you were quoted.

So did you get the May incentives on the truck?
Think of it the other way, the price on the DC was high and they didn't budge. They made my $1000 "trade in incentive" look like that was what they took off the price. I realized this when he reminded me to bring the title of my trade in. I was like what trade in? that wasn't part of the deal. He said that that is where the $1000 came from. I said that it should be $1000 off the price of the truck. If they wanted my tradein, that would be the incentive. I called the deal off.

Which dealer did you work with??? What kind of deal did you get with respect to MSRP??? I live in Victoria so I don't mind driving to Austin for a good deal. Waiting for a better deal on a Crewmax. Might pull the trigger if the deal is right...

I'm not the original poster, but I, too, recently purchased a Tundra in Austin. I bought from Champion, and wound up a little better than $4600 off of MSRP (end of April, so I didn't get the 0% financing, oh well) on a 5.7L 4x2 SR5 DC, with no trade. I had a fantastic experience and would heartily recommend them. My salesperson was Jared Jones, in the Internet sales dept.

I think cementc is referring to the CrewMax. Champion in Austin is only doing about $2K off MSRP for CrewMax and $4500 off DC or RC. I got this info on 4/29.

Thanks all. I got it at Champion, I'll be the first to say that I didn't get the best deal but it was due to timing. I needed a truck now, my trade-in wouldn't wait much longer. I got about 1K off the price and another 1K off the platimun warranty. They also swap me the tow mirrors when they come in (no big deal) because no truck in stock had em. They were willing to make better deals for a DC but not the CM. We also qualified for the special financing (April incentive) so money was saved there also.

The first place I went to would not budge on the DC I initially looked at. That's why this one was just a little bit more than the DC. Plus they really tried to screw me on my trade in. It wasn't a matter of getting the CM as cheap as a DC. It was a matter of the first dealer trying to sell a DC for the price of a CM.
