I searched for this and couldn't find anything...

Why on my 2003 Tacoma V6 the factory installs 2 different type of sparkplugs, as far as I know there are other models of toyota that this also happens.

Is there any technical reason why they do this?

there are alot of the new tacomas(05 thru 07) like this as well. all it is,toyota uses both denso and ngk, and when motor comes down the assembly line, theres a person on both sides installing the plugs, and they put in what they have. really nothing to worry about, but if you are changing plugs, go with one or the other.
