I did the search thing and found nada so I figured I'd ask. I want to enable Automatic Door locking (and unlocking) on my 05 Tacoma TRD Double cab. Is this even an option on the 05 Taco.
Thanx!!!
Thanx!!!
Don't know about the Tacoma yet but my Sienna has this feature. It was not part of the factory system but was part of the RS3200 alarm system. I had a problem with it at first not doing what it was supposed to however a trip to the dealer and they reprogrammed it for me. Aparently there were several program modes available.Sentinel said:I did the search thing and found nada so I figured I'd ask. Ya, but I want it to lock when I start it, or go down the road.Dirt_Devil said:I thought it was standard on the '05's? Mine has automatic keyless entry and when disarmed and I don't open the doors, the truck automatically locks after 30 secs.
Oh ok, I'm pretty sure any stereo or alarm place can add that to the keyless entry. . .Sentinel said:Ya, but I want it to lock when I start it, or go down the road.

He wants it to lock automatically when he is driving. Not if he doesn't open the door within 30 secs.Sentinel said:Ya, but I want it to lock when I start it, or go down the road.
My last Toyota (Celica) did that by default, using the Toyota OEM security system - you could turn that on or off but it was kind of hard to find the procedure - I think I saw it somewhere in the TS knowledge base.p8ntballa04 said:He wants it to lock automatically when he is driving. As I posted earlier, not an available function with the keyless entry only. Is a programmable function of the RS3200 Plus system, which is an add on option to the '05 Tacoma.p8ntballa04 said:He wants it to lock automatically when he is driving. Not if he doesn't open the door within 30 secs.
how do i know if i have the RS3200 or not? and if i have it, how do you program it? take it to the dealer?nhparrot said:As I posted earlier, not an available function with the keyless entry only. Is a programmable function of the RS3200 Plus system, which is an add on option to the '05 Tacoma.
anybody?how do i know if i have the RS3200 or not? and if i have it, how do you program it? take it to the dealer?

If you have the factory keyless entry option in your '05, you do not have a RS3200. If you would like me to confirm this post or PM me the FCC # from the fob. The factory keyless is a body ecu based system. Vehicles with the factory keyless can be upgraded to a RS3200 Plus system. Programming instructions are available in the Knowledgebase in the thread HOW TO: Programming the RS3200 systemblacktac said:how do i know if i have the RS3200 or not? and if i have it, how do you program it? take it to the dealer?

I don't have the RS3200 system, but do have the keyless entry on my 2005 Tacoma. My doors automatically lock when I start the engine & unlock when I turn the engine off.nhparrot said:As I posted earlier, not an available function with the keyless entry only. I wish mine would do that. I have the factory keyless entry. I saw a post once that you have the factory alarm wired in the truck but just have to unplug a wire to make it work. I tried to find the wire but was unsuccessful. If anyone can help out please post it here.arcpass said:I don't have the RS3200 system, but do have the keyless entry on my 2005 Tacoma. That is not the case on a '05 Tacoma, but would be on vehicles that have the RS3200 system as the ECU to control the keyless entry. The whold procedure is documented in the Knowledgebase.megamole said:I wish mine would do that. I have the factory keyless entry.
