I took some pics of what I think is the VSV in the rear. The wet spots was from WD40, that damn screw was a bitch to get off. Is this the part? There was another valve thing above the charcoal canister I couldn't reach. I tested as teamster did, was able to blow through it, added 12v and still able to blow through it.

If this is the part?

Check engine light keeps coming on. Brought car to toyota dealer today said it was evap canister cost to repair $645. Do I really need to replace canister have about 95,000 on 2000 Camry? What are problems that could occur to car if don't replace.
 
Sorry, have been out of town to a wake and funeral.

new member. i have camry 2001 and before 2 days ago i have engine check light get on. i take it to autozone and the said the code P0446. i search in internet most of the cases the VSV valve is cause. i try to find the VSV valve but can't find it. then i found this forum which has Mr. mustang has some kind of document which can help to find and change the VSV valve. but i am not able to find any link for download that document.

so, please any one can help me for that.

as i look i found VSV near canister. now i try to buy a part VSV (90910 -12264) any where i can find that? or is it good to buy charcoal canister? if any one has a part no. for charcoal canister & where can i buy it?

90910 -12264 is for a 2002 Camry not a 2001
90910-12174 is for the 2001 and comes with the canister
Canister = 77740-06170
Your VIN would make it so we could look up the exact parts, these are just guesstimates.
