Is there a LOW OIL PRESSURE Warning Light - 2002 Sequoia

Is there a "Low Oil Pressure" warning light on the 1st Generation Sequoias? The Oil Pressure gauge is reading very, very low at idle on my Sequoia, but no warning light is lit.

I would find it very strange that there is only an oil pressure gauge, and no low oil pressure warning light on the dash of these vehicles. I know that my wife and mother would drive for months with the oil pressure gauge at "0", but if a red light is on the dashboard, they would call me from the parking lot of Target before driving the car even one mile.

I just can't believe that Toyota would trust 100% of drivers to continually "scan" the gauges on the dash every 60 seconds while driving. I mean people are driving in traffic, talking on cell phone, listening to radio etc.

Also have an '02, also in Dallas, also have the low oil pressure. It's definitely a bad reading-if you watch it it will fluctuate from time to time to the actual reading. Mine will do this if I slap the top of the dash above it a few times pretty hard-I discovered this driving down the highway a thousand miles from home when I noticed it drop to zero out of the corner of my eye. I have read on here that people have replaced or cleaned the sending unit with success. That doesn't explain why mine seems to react to the dashboard banging however. I will get to that soon and research the threads on here but the fact that the gauge reads correctly at times and the fact that the engine line has no reputation for oil pressure related failures made me feel easy enough to throw that on the back burner. As to your question finally-if it loses oil pressure completely it will throw lights all over the place and lose power (no specific single light) according to my Toyota mechanic. Most likely will not restart after turning off either but he's not positive about our specific model.
