Hey guys!

I'm a proud owner of a new '09 Corolla XRS. OK well I've put 3000 miles on it so far. :D

Anyways, I'm not good with all the wheel info. I'm reading the FAQs on wheels and getting kinda lost. I'm trying to learn and do my research so I can be an informed buyer.

Really all I want to do is buy up a set of Lexus IS250/350 18" wheels for my Corolla. I can only guess that since they're in the same extended family that they would fit by default. I think they would look much better than the stock 17"s and fill out the wheel well a little bit more giving it a better profile.

I guess I'm also worried about rubbing and such.

Anyways from these:

Thanks for the help guys! :ts:

Keep in mind the IS350 has a staggered wheel setup, the rears are wider (rims and tires). Any idea what the bolt pattern is on the Corolla? The IS (and basically every Lexus car except the LS600) is 5 x 114.3/5 x 4.5. If the 'rolla has the same bolt pattern, the IS350 front wheels will probably fit,the rears may stick out too much or hit inner suspension components.

Interesting... I did not know that they were staggered on the Lexsus. Even on the AWD models? I'm not sure of the bolt pattern, I figured there was a standard. It is a 5 lug set up though.

The width of the tires would be my next concern. They do take a good bit of a wider tire I believe. The stock rims fit inside of the body of the car with room to spare. For some reason Toyota thought it would be a good idea to cram some stuff into the rear wheel wells such as the gas tank fill neck. So I'll have to watch that too.

Thanks for the info Eddie!

If you don't mind me saying, I think the Corolla wheel design is MUCH nicer! In fact, if you showed me the wheels side by side, I would have guessed your OEM wheels were factory equipment on the Lexus, not the 'rolla.
Thanks! I just kinda want something that fills out the wheel wells a little more than the stock 17"s. Picky, I know. I do believe that the design that I have on my car is really the design from the older IS 300... just an updated version of them.

The AWD models aren't staggered, the wheels are a different design (and smaller diameter) than the 350s anyway. RWD IS250s do have staggered wheels though.

I'm looking at Tire Rack's website, your bolt pattern is indeed 5 x 114/5 x 4.5. And it looks like front 350 wheels may work on all four corners. They have a 40mm offset 18x8 BBS wheel for the Corolla, the same exact wheel is listed as front wheels for the 350.

I have an IS350, and what Eddie has said so far about the stock 18" wheels are correct. You might be able to use the 18 x 8 front wheels from the IS but I have to agree with the others that your Corolla stockers are nicer. I actually got rid of mine within a few months and went with something aftermarket. The doublespoke IS wheels are harder to keep clean too.

Take a look at the Lexus GS 5-spoke and Tourmaline wheels if you want a nicer elegant wheel that might work with your Corolla.

don't forget about your air pressure sensors. you either need to transfer them over, or if the IS wheels you're getting have them, you need to get you tpms computer reset to read the correct sensors and serials.
