Has anyone successfully repainted the plastic hubcaps on a first gen Tundra - alloy wheel version? Aside from the busted one i need to replace (someones unsuccessful theft attempt), all my hubcaps have lost most of the paint and are now one ugly brown mess. I'm thinking of that new plastic aerosol primer first, followed by whatever silver can looks right.
Any ideas to make this a successful repair would be appreciated.
I did find a site Toyota Tundra Hubcaps, Toyota Tundra Wheel Covers and hub caps - Hubcaps.com that has my caps. (# 69395CC-S on this page)
They are $100 for 4, or $30 each and are of course Refurbs or used. They don't seem to have an email link or i would ask them.
