If you have a GPS unit and want to repair the problem yourself, use it to get the speed until the weather gets better. I'm curious; does your odometer now not work as well...great way to keep the mileage low. :D

Since I'm not familiar with the system, common sense would tell me that you could jack up the vehicle in the rear and put the unit in drive to check if there is any voltage getting to the dash panel unit where it feeds the needle..unless the speed sensor is at the front wheel. Some diagrams of the speed sensor location and wiring diagrams would help.

Not that it means anything but id check for loose connections my gas guage went out on mebturned out to be a loose connection that was made loose by a flying rock. Maybe yours couldve been loosend by the snow. Either way let us know what you find out . And stop driving with abs light on jeeze.

So guys. I replaced my speed sensor but no luck. There are two speed sensor on the passenger side of the trans right? The code says speed sensor A. Gauge still doesn't work. Everything on the gauge works except for the mph. I believe I have the right sensor. There is two wires going to each plug. They are about a foot and a half apart on the driver side. What are your thoughts ?

What year is your truck?

if it's 2005+ then ABS is your key for speedometer. Check ABS sensors and connections, make sure they are OK.
