Drum brakes are OK

Disk brakes are good too, but personally I like the drums better. I hear that the drums are stronger, less expensive, better for load ballancing the weight in the rear payload of the bed. Well, thats what I heard from my mechanic. Would be cool to see the disc brakes on the 2 wheel drive sidestep!

Sunroofs for Tundras

Why wait..?? Go to mysunroof.com and find the size you're looking for. I had the West Coast Dist./ Installer Training Center for Webasto, in Santa Fe Springs, CA., put a electric sun/moon roof in my Tundra. It looks great and works perfectly. NO leaks..!!!! I paid $1200.00 for everything. No one can tell if it's factory or not. JB

I think your mechanic is afraid of losing business. I find drum to be enough of a pain to maintain that I cough up the $100 or so to have the shop do it. I'll do disc myself in an hour for under $40. Add a little more if the rotors need to be turned (rarely).
Replacing the rotors with new on my Echo was cheaper than mechanic cost for just the pad replacement.

Disc functions better when wet, doesn't fade as badly when hot, and you have the added advantage of not having to tear the whole system apart to inspect the pads.

Do you have any pictures of your sunroof Jack? I would like to see what it looks like.
Do a check in the photos section for body & paint. At least 3 members, me included, have photos posted that show sunroofs installed on our rides. You can also check my webpage (click my
webpage button) for photos.
