hey fellas, just installed an Undercover tonneau today and was wondering if any of you guys have any long term concerns/issues with rubbing on the side of the truck...also how rain/snowproof is this cover?

I've had mine on for almost a year now. It rubs pretty bad if you don't have it set just right. As it now, if I take it off, it looks like crap around the corners of the bed. The paint is gone to the primer.

If it leaks when you open it call undercover and they will send you the new seal that fixes that.

Other than that it doesn't leak at all. i have the bedrug and I sleep in that thing when I'm at work late. In the rain, in the middle of the night, with me sleeping--yeah no leaks.

Had mine for just about a year. I had the dealer trim a little of the rubber lip where it meets the cab. Undercover knows of this issue. Does not squeak anymore. Mine lasted through Hurricane Ike and 12 inches of rain in 2 days and I did not get a drop inside the bed. The only issue I had was the rubber seal along the front side near the cab. It came unglued for about 12 inches. I just gled it back on and it is holding up well. This is my second one and I will buy another with my next truck.

also, any thoughts on rear vs front bracket adjustment to make hte cover align with the bed more evenly, mine currently sits a little off to the left and the right side is not rubbing but it's close...

This is one of those times when you need Geometry. See your teacher was right. Measure from a fixed point on the bed to the edge of the bracket then measure the other side if their not the same then you have to adjust. If I remember correctly the bracket edge needs to be 17" from the front of the bed. Look on the Undercover web page for install instructions if you don't have them.

I only had mine 3 or 4 weeks and I love it! Installation was a challenge for me: I was by myself and have "tennis elbow" in one of my arms. Anyway, it took me more than the advertised installation time but I got the cover installed evenly. To do that, I had to loosen all the bolts holding the brackets, lay down in the bed, reposition the cover several times with my arms and feet until it was perfectly even on both sides and then I tightened everything. It has been like that since then and no a drop of water inside. Tip: follow the instructions from the manufacturer to the letter; the specs they give are really what you need to respect (17", ...)

Had my undercover for a few weeks. Installed it by myself in about an hour. It was a little windy on instalation day which made it a little tricky. Another hand would have made it easier, but not as much fun, the wind really helped. Used a sharpie and tape measurement to lay out measurements for brackets. The tip from eR are correct and as long as you follow manufacturer measrements everythang goes ok unless you put the brackets on backwards then you have to swap them back forwards. Really not that hard and once you do it yall appreciate how everythang works. Laying out the front brackets at an exact 17 inches or whatever your model calls for is gonna solve most any alignment problems.
