First post here, I have a 2000 LC with a 4.7 engine that is similar to first gen tundra. Curious if anyone here has replaced their fan bracket pulley bearing? Through my research I have found that it is good practice to replace this bearing during a timing belt job. I have found many that have replaced the whole bracket but was wondering if anyone here has just replaced the bearing? Recommendations I found are either OEM or Aisin parts.
I have seen this bearing removed on jeeps and there are some YouTube videos out there. This is a water pump style bearing. From looking at the part the fan pulley would have to be removed with a puller, then the bearing would be removed out the front of the bracket. A press or a water pump bearing puller would need to be used to remove the bearing and install.
I have not found a replacement bearing as of yet. I believe the markings are Koyo RR6 then 614 in small print with Japan printed on the bearing.
This part is $243 from dealer, if just the bearing could be replaced we could save some $$$
Thanks for all your help
