Right now i have set of yokohoma geolander tires with the dark text showing on the outside. I'm starting to like the look with the white text on the outside instead..i'm just wondering is this safe to have the tire rolling in the opposite direction since i'm flippin it? i've only put at 3k miles on it so far...

thanks

Thanks Sean...because i'm afraid since the tire's been running in 1 direction for a long time I'm afraid that it might be unsafe to go the opposite way...

Or you could just put the right side wheels on the left side(after changing tire direction on the rim), and vice versa. That is, take off the right side tires, remount them so the white part faces out, then put this tire/wheel on the left side. This would keep the tires rotating in the same direction.

I believe the Yokohama Geolanders are not bi-directional. Meaning they are designed to spin in a specific direction(left or right side). I know the MT's are. If you "flip" them, you may be compromising the safety, durability, longevity, etc. I would check with the manufacturer first. They'll most likely say to not "flip" them.

You can flip 'em.

The pattern definitely looks uni-directional. But Mike is right. Just flip the tire on the rim and swap them from the left side to the right side and vice versa. Then you've got white lettering on the outside with the pattern going in the correct direction.
