First thing first have the vehicle rust prepped and under coated.

Then use the search function for lift kits, tires, and 4x4 modifications

How many miles on the truck?

Oh the places mud will go. Keep in mind a good mudding will introduce mud into areas of your truck that you could never have imagined. So on that note. A pressure washer or a bunch of quarters for the car wash would definately be a good investment. Second most important thing. Tires. Most any 4wd Toyota could handle a good mud bath, but good deep tread tires are key. Keep posting on TS and you will get lots of good feedback.:tu:

Extend your differential breather valves. Unless, you extend your xfer case and tranny breather valves, don't sit in any muddy water that goes up to your floor boards. The floor boards is about where the xfer case and tranny breather valves sit.

Be saving for the Timing belt replacement withing the next 10k miles. Wouldnt want it to break.

Bring a buddy and a tow strap. Mud gets deeper with every pass lol

Keep your wallet handy for the car wash.

Get selectable lockers front and rear, or learn to drive without spinning the tires.

Buy some Intercos...get the 34x10.5-16 LTBs, Q78-16 Super Swampers, or 35x10.5-16 Boggers. Think about how you want to clear them...RCD kit, or sawzall. Decide if travel or height is more important, you can fit 35" tires many different ways.

Most important, learn how to drive. If you get the wheels spinning with the stock open differentials, you'll be spending an awful lot to fix what breaks...differentials, axles, cv joints...it's a mess. Hope your wallet is as deep as the mud pits, because it never ends.

Cmon over to the Offroad Forum...have a look at the build threads, picture and vid threads.
