I don't have one with the JBL, i have the 6-disc changer version.
I know that the 6-disc changer also has the volume based on speed function.
It's called ASL (i think) on the menu.

I love the auto lights off feature. I leave mine on all the time.
My wife's car has that and mine didn't, till now!
This brings up a question i've been wondering, does any one know how to turn on the fog lights only without needing the low-beam lights?

I haven't read all the manual yet, but one day we're all going to want to know how to reset that pesky tire sensor thing.

Also, does anyone know if we get a light at 5000 miles reminding us to change the oil? We'll want to know how to reset that too!

That speed based volume function was one of the biggest reasons for me to get rid of the stock sound system. I felt it overboosted the bass to the point that the stock speakers sounded distorted.

As for the auto lights off function, I'm guessing everyone knows that this is programmable. Default is delay off in 30 seconds. I set mine to OFF. Now when I leave my lights on and turn the truck off, the lights stay on until I open my door. Then they go off immediately. I like it better that way because I was tired of getting the good sumaritan who felt it their duty to remind me that I left my lights on in the parking lot.

The fog lights: There's no option to program, you'd have to get the schematic for them. Chances are it's a turn on lead from the headlights to the fog lights relay. You'd have to use park lamps relay output to turn on fog lights relay. In short, I'm guessing a wiring change is necessary.

The tire sensors reset button is located under the dash in line with the steering wheel. For instructions, see earlier post by user 'mxsjw' along with attachment (see pdf)

1. Switch the key to "ON"
2. Hold reset switch till light blinks three times.
3. Let stand in "ON" position for 3 to 6 minutes. (try 7 minutes)
4. Turn off, then back on.
5. Light should reset.

The maintenance minder light does remind you to perform required maintenance. Instruction to reset light after maintenance is performed can be found here --> http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/tundra/104260-diy-oil-change-w-pics-reset/

I found out that the sun visors extend too. You know that annoying couple of inches that is never covered when you have the sun visor rotated around to the side window? Well, these puppies slide on the rod so you can fill that void. SWEET
WHAT!!!!!!!! Thats awesome. Thanks:yo:
Thats the one feature that sucked about the truck. the visors didnt have a plastic piece that slides out!!! im at work and im tempted to go check it out right now. I hope your right.

mine holds 11 drinks. if i remove the ash tray cup thingie, which i now use for a change holder because i don't smoke.

also did you know that the two big cup holders upfront pop out if you have bucket seating up front(console shifter)

aparently it chimes when you have around a half a gallon of gas left, have not tested yet.
:thumb:CM with Bucket seats has 13 drink holders:thumb:

Apparently I had a good salesman, because he went over a lot of the things I've seen posted here, although he couldn't possibly cover everything in the 610 page manual.

I still discover some nice features now and then. I love it!

Does anyone know if the JBL Bluetooth Nav system will vary the volume based on speed? I don't own one of these trucks yet but have driven on several times so I have a good idea about most of the features but didn't notice that it did this so I assume it doesn't. Can anyone confirm/deny this.

In my experience the Autovolume is only good for the Stereo and not the Bluetooth. But once you're on the Bluetooth, you can raise and lower the Bluetooth volume via the steering wheel volume control just like you would on the radio.

Here's another one. If you got the Crewmax with sunroof you can cruise on the freeway with the sunroof opened all the way and barely hear the winds noise if you would crack the rear sliding window about 3 inches. Incredible
I noticed this too. Also I think the flap in the front will automatically adjust to wind speed to help with the noise. I could be wrong, but I can hear to motor while slowing down coming off the freeway with the sunroof open.

I was just gonna post a topic about that. Asking if anyone with a sunroof noticed that black thing moves up and down when it feels like it. I wasnt sure if that was a problem or it is supposed to do that.

I also took 6 months to notice if I open the sun roof and push the button again while its opening it will stop where I want it to stop instead of only open all the way or close all the way. But Im sure Im the last CM owner to notice this. lol

My center console slides about 3 to 4 inches forward. Is that as far as it slides?
If it slid any further it would hit the shifter.
Which button is it? Is it enabled from the factory?
It's in the lower left corner of the nav screen when you hit the 'audio' button.

TPMS reset button is under the steering column and clearly labeled.
You will get the red triangle with an exclamation point at 5,000 on the nose.

The set point is based on vehicle speed and is somewhere around 45mph. Below that, the front flap can be pushed up and down (only spring resistance), above 45 and it becomes rigid, I guess so the wind doesn't cause it to bounce and make noise.

i like this thread.:)

I found this out too by accident. I used to hold my hand up in that void blocking the sun with my hand cursing Toyota engineers for not making the visors longer and then I found out they Slide.. DOH! Did I feel like a clown for sure!. :clown:

this is a great thread. I got off work and went to my truck and found out I got a sliding center console, sliding sun-visor, what the little door by the shifter is for, the no noise when the sunroof is cracked and provides a great breeze, and the sun roofs black thing moves down when I go over 40-45mph.

I have a thing about pushing buttons and holding them down to see what they do. So far i found that you can change the cd by holding the next button on the steering wheel. the other thing is that on the limited, the little display is where the speedometer is and once your gas light comes on that little display says something like low fuel, well if you hold down the reset button it will show you all the other info that was on before your fuel light came on. ohh another thing was that there is a little slot where you can stick the lid that is between the shifter and the cup holder when its not in use. the area to store the lid is on the bottom of the console lid. right next to the pencil holder. thats about it i'll keep searching though

I already discovered this in another thread. ;) Might have to get the mods to merge the two threads!

Good find 5.7 texan!! That message bugs the sh!t out of me when it comes on because it always changes it back after I hit the info button :ts:

For all your bench seat owners, I just found out there is another compartment in the middle front that you sit on when you fold the center front seat up. It has a little strap you pull up. Only took me a year to find it! lol :D
