I like the "check my oil" selection from the maintenence screen. This gem pops out from nowhere.

I wanted to try to bring this post back to life. What a great idea!!

I found after complaining since day one about most NAV features being blocked out while driving that there are several voice activated features that work really well. My favorites are:

Go home
Address
Nearest Fast Food
Nearest convenience store
Dont forget about:

Previous Destination
Detour
Delete final destination

Eh.. just making shure you understand I ment sit the dipping sauce on top of the slot not inside it, that would just be weird
Taken me a while to get back but.... I thought you meant to remove the lid and stick the dipping sauce containers into the slot. I'm happy to report that you can remove the lid and stick in a mcdonald's bbq sauce and it will hold it perfectly and you don't need to worry about it tipping over or anything else. I'ts great!!!

P.S. I'm probably more excited than most because my wife always complains when I make her be my bbq holder while we're driving.:tu:

hold the traction button in for 3 seconds. the vsc will be off, and the limited slip diff light will be on in the right side of the cluster. if you put it in 4x4, the diff light will go out. then go back to 2wd, the limited slip diff light will stay off. i know it does the same thing if you hold the button for 3 more seconds.....but this is just something i discovered yesterday.

The windows will go up after you take the keys out.
But only if you use the "up" button, don't open a door and I think it has to be done within 30 seconds or so.:peace:

well how else do you get them to go up other than using the "up" button?

Hey, I was just clarifying before we had everyone all like "WTH, mine don't automatically go up when I remove the keys"...:scared:
Original post below was a bit misleading to the newcomers.:biggrin1:
 Don't feel too sensitive about it mx. . . just sometimes you find yourself laughing because a post is incongruous and a reply like Bocephus' clarifies things. . LOL

Yes on the 5K light. And resetting it is really easy. Before you turn off the engine, make sure your trip oddometer is in "Trip A". Turn off the truck and before you turn the key back on, press and hold the trip oddometer button. Now turn the key on (you don't need to actually start the truck again) while you keep holding the button in. You'll get some dash marks in the trip oddometer window that will be blinking. Just keep watching them until they all go away (like 3-5 sec) and you see zeros. Your light has just been reset for the next 5k miles. I can't remember if it's in the manual or not, I just always call the dealer whenever I forget how to do it. Good luck!

if you have power seats you can move the seat into position without the keys in the ignition.

I stumbled upon this because when the wife drives the truck, she enjoys having the seat crammed up as close to the steering wheel as possible..she'd sit on the dash and drive if she could!

I would get into the truck after she had driven it, and i would almost break my neck on the door frame when I swing up into the truck thinking the seat is where I normally have it..I end up in a pretzel pressed against the steering wheel until I get the seat pushed back

So, what I do now before I even get in the truck is push the selector back all the way, then hop in and start the truck..very handy!

Just to resurrect an older thread, here's something that it HAS that I forgot..

My tundra came with the shiny alloy rims! My rims looked JUST like the ones on my mazda (brushed aluminum) until i made a clean spot.. what the.. there's shiny stuff under there!! :p

First time washing it since i picked it up in May, heheheh. Who needs to buy new rims, just don't wash your truck for a while, you give it a nice cleaning and it's like a whole new paintjob and new set of rims!
